David Lazear

David Lazear is an author, trainer and the foremost authority on the practical application of multiple intelligences in education and business. His work is an extension of Dr. Gardner’s theory of Multiple Intelligence learning.

David has authored nine books on multiple intelligence applications, including Out Smart Yourself, Proven Strategies for Becoming Smarter Than You Think You Are, and Eight Ways of Teaching, The Artistry of Teaching With Multiple Intelligences.

David explores the important concept of intelligence by asking NOT, “How smart am I?”, but rather “HOW am I smart?” He discusses how to awaken, nurture, and develop the Eight Kinds of Smart, in yourself, your children and your students.

Mr. Lazear says we’ve all been lied to about our intelligence! We’ve been told it’s fixed and static at birth. We’ve been told we’re stuck with a certain intelligence quotient (IQ) and there’s nothing we can do about it; we must learn to compensate for what we have or don’t have, as the case may be. We’ve been told that our IQ defines how smart we are.

Multiple intelligences (or MiQ™ vs. IQ) presents a very different story – a story about A Different Kind of Smart™. The good news is that every human being has at least eight ways of knowing, eight ways we acquire knowledge, eight ways we process information, learn, and understand. And what is more, these Eight Kinds of Smart are already inside of us just waiting to be awakened. David Lazear will show you how!
