Dr. Kristy Remick
O.D., F.C.O.V.D.


Dr. Kristy M. Remick is the co-author of the popular book, Eyes On Track, A Missing Link to Successful Learning. Dr. Remick has lectured extensively to educators, parents, and occupational therapists on the topics of improving reading, visual skills and improved attention span, the relationship between juvenile delinquency and poor “near vision”, and the development of eye-tracking and visual perception skills in the classroom.

Dr. Remick has served as a Clinical Professor for the Southern California College of Optometry on-site at the San Bernardino County Juvenile Hall in the Vision Perception Clinic where she helped to discover the connection between juvenile delinquency, academic failure, and deficient visual skills. She has served as the Visual Consultant to Senator John Vasconcellos and actively testifies in the California State Legislature on children’s vision issues.

Dr. Remick has been a practicing optometrist for 21 years and specializes in visual development, visual rehabilitation, sports vision, and visual therapy and she maintains a private practice in the general Sacramento area.

Dr. Remick has received the Knight-Henry Award for visual development research, the California Young Optometrist of the Year Award as well as the “Speaker of the Year” award from the California Optometric Society.
