Lisa Simmons

Lisa is a special needs advocate, author and researcher. She has spent the last 2 decades dedicated to helping individuals with special needs live more successful, independent lives.

Lisa has spent more than a decade as a hands-on therapist and case manager for adults with physical and developmental disabilities. She then moved into the community and has devoted the last 6 years to family advocacy assisting parents with special education issues as a regional coordinator for Families Together and online through her website Ideal Lives.com.

Lisa has done extensive online research on special needs topics and written 3 books and 8 special reports related to special needs issues such as how to prepare for your child’s IEP and how to build an effective parent support group in your own community.
