Over the last month, students from across the country submitted nominations and voted for the first ever America’s Top Teaching Assistant by CengageBrain; and the winner is Dan Coiro, Organic Chemistry Teaching Assistant at Rutgers University!
Coiro was nominated by a student who felt he had an enormous impact on her education as well as that of her classmates. Read the nomination that won Coiro the title of America’s Top Teaching Assistant on the CengageBrain blog, and leave a comment to congratulate him.
In addition to receiving the title of America’s Top Teaching Assistant, CengageBrain , the premier destination for purchasing discount college textbooks and part of Cengage Learning, will create the Dan Coiro Scholarship by CengageBrain in which three students will each be awarded $2,500.
As America’s Top Teaching Assistant, Coiro will be part of the integral team that will determine the scholarship criteria and recipients.
CengageBrain’s Top Teaching Assistant competition allowed college students to recognize the TAs who helped them the most with coursework, especially during finals week.
CengageBrain Student Ambassadors narrowed down the student submissions to a list of ten finalists before a winner was determined by opening it up for public voting through the CengageBrain Facebook page.
Congratulations to Rutgers Organic Chemistry TA Dan Coiro for winning the first everAmerica’s Top Teaching Assistant Competition by CengageBrain!
