SUMERIA GROUP BENEFITS THE GLOW FOUNDATION
TO HOST FIRST ANNUAL BAY AREA BALL SUPPORTING UNDERPRIVILEGED STUDENTS
Bay Area Ball will take place at One Leidesdorff on October 12, 2012
Sumeria Group, a national network that connects young professionals to social engagement opportunities, will align with The Glow Foundation, a nonprofit established to empower underprivileged students to attend college, by presenting the first annual Bay Area Ball at One Leidesdorff in Downtown San Francisco on October 12 at 10:00 PM.
The event will bring together young professionals from Sumeria’s dynamic group for a lively evening of good food and amazing music featuring DJ Jason Dundas of VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live.
The Glow Foundation was established on the basis that over 200,000 college-eligible students do not pursue a higher education due to lack of direction and financial guidance. Glow focuses on college access and success, providing schools and individuals with financial planning solutions and a resource system to the application and acceptance process.
Sumeria Group is a premier network of young professionals that provides social engagement opportunities for its members, while dedicated to making an impact on the educational futures of underserved youth.
Partnering with Glow, the Sumeria Group will seek to attract volunteers to the Glow Foundation, as well as their partner organizations and schools, focusing on implementing their financial literacy curriculum to students around the country.
Proceeds generated from the Bay Area Ball will be used to enhance Glow’s financial literacy volunteer programs.
“It is important to us that all high school students, no matter what their financial standing, have the ability to maximize their educational potential. We at Sumeria are extremely excited to collaborate with The Glow Foundation and share with our network what an impactful organization they are,” said Alex Widen, President of Sumeria Group.
