Jim Jensen believes that when you unleash the power of your subconscious mind, that unbelievable breakthroughs can result.
His new book, Beyond The Power of Your Subconscious Mind, builds on the work of Dr. Joseph Murphy, and offers compelling evidence about the relationship between our conscious and subconscious mind. Here is a set of new tools that can help anyone solve the biggest problems in their life.
“There is a treasure house of power within the human mind,” Jensen says. “You must use your conscious mind intentionally and take action to direct what your subconscious mind focuses on. You are the Captain, and your subconscious mind is the crew or team of workers deep within the hold of the ship. You decide where to go and the subconscious is your personal servo-mechanism to get you there.”
Research shows that there are certain conscious thoughts and actions you can take to make that happen. Jensen’s book focuses on explaining exactly what people can do to get the subconscious mind working in the best way possible. Here are just some of the concepts in his book that can be used.
Utilize The Power Of Suggestion And Self-Talk
Jim has seen people under hypnosis be told that a piece of chalk is a lit cigarette. When the subject is touched on the skin of his arm, the subject recoils in pain. A red welt and blood blister has even formed! From the touch of a piece of chalk!
You can use the power of suggestion constructively in a variety of ways. One of the most powerful techniques is autosuggestion – or affirmations. You describe your intended desire to yourself, supported with a clearly defined mental picture of how that result would appear, along with the positive emotions associated with that end result. You repeat this process multiple times. Your body, mind and soul begin to believe and become comfortable with that new idea. The mental objections start to drop away. The world and your expectations begin to change before your very eyes.
When the mind truly believes, so it is.
Utilize the Power of Visualization
Jim and his wife took the most unusual ski lessons at Copper Mountain a few years ago. To learn how to ski moguls on those steep fast slopes, the instructor had them lie down on the floor in the hotel ballroom each morning where they were told to close their eyes and visualize themselves skiing. Again and again, they began each day eyes closed on the floor visualizing their perfect skiing performance. Only then were they allowed to go outside and ski. As they skied down the mountain, the instructor’s only question was, “How did that compare to your visualization from this morning?”
The open identification of discrepancies against the perfect visualizations guided them so well, that on the last day, they were able to push off the run on the top of the mountain and ski down the slopes flawlessly on the most difficult run on the mountain, with their boots completely unbuckled.
When we visualize our performance, we see ourselves performing at our very best without errors. That visual “picture” becomes an imprint within the subconscious mind.
Utilize the Five Steps of Creative Problem Solving
1. Define the Problem – Write it down. Make sure you clarify the problem and know as best as you possibly can what it is that needs to be resolved.
2 Gather data. This could be data stored in your subconscious from your past experiences. You may also hire experts or consultants, research written material, browse the Internet, etc. This shouldn’t take a lot of time, but get the input you need as quickly as you can.
3 Attempt to solve the problem consciously. Work on the problem. Ask yourself, is there a black and white solution here? Are there options I can look at? What are they?
4 If you don’t have a clear solution, take a break and sleep on it. Turn it over to your supraconscious mind. Let your inner mind go to work for you. Tell it you need the best solution and when.
5 Get your conscious mind busy elsewhere. Take a break. Go do something else. Go shopping, play golf, head to the health club, go fishing.
When the time is right, the best answer will be there. No church bells will ring. The right answer will just come forth in a “blinding flash of the obvious”. You may find yourself saying, “Now why didn’t I think of that”.
Some people even call it “divine Intervention”.
Get the Results You Want
Many people block the answers to their desires by failing to comprehend the workings of their subconscious mind. When you fully know how your mind works, you will increase the measure of your performance substantially.
Sleep on it. Let your subconscious wrestle the problems and challenges you face in your life.
Whenever your subconscious mind accepts an idea, it immediately begins to execute it. It uses all its mighty resources and mobilizes all your senses , knowledge, mental and spiritual powers to that end. You can use this power constructively any time you choose.
It’s up to you to bring the right guidance into your life, so you achieve the freedom you desire and peace of mind you seek.
Jim Jensen began his career as a salesman with Encyclopedia Brittanica in his senior year of college. Within 7 years he had become International Sales Manager. At the age of 28, he became Senior Vice President and CEO of Great Books of the Western World. In this same year (1969) Jim and his wife, Jeri, attended a four day seminar that would have an incredible impact on his life forever. As is written in the “Introduction”, Jim became both a voracious student and, ultimately, teacher of many of the principles written in Beyond the Power of Your Subconscious Mind.
Jim also became President and CEO of two additional companies that each became the leading company within their respective industry. Jim attributes much of the success of those companies to the management and employees embracing many of the philosophies outlined in this book. Today, Jim provides executive coaching, consulting, and advisory services to emerging growth and mid-size companies. He is an active member of the World Presidents’ Organization, and serves on the board of directors of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, Aspen University, and Sugarmade, Inc., a sustainable solution in producing 100% tree-free paper products.
