At a third grade school in Tennessee the kids are using Legos to motivate kids to learn. Teachers are designing lessons using Lego education sets and computers to involve kids in multiple subject learning at one time.
The students are discovering what it is like as third graders to be an engineer using Legos in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) lab at Park View Elementary School.
Teachers say that a grant from The Eaton Corporation funded the Lego Lab and turns complex science into fun, real life learning experiences for the students.
The most recent project at the school was creating spinning tops powered by the lab’s laptops.
