South Carolina students are having more fun while honing their math skills. Correct answers equal points and the more points you have the higher your school is ranked. Ridgeland Elementary is ranked fifth out of 59 schools in the state. Students have solved 2.8 million word problems since January and they are set to be “First in Math”.
Students at Ridgeland Elementary have caught a bug, the learning bug, thanks to the online education tool “First in Math.”
“There’s all sorts of things you can do, you can do fractions, multiplication, addition, subtraction, division, there’s alls orts of things, word problems, almost everything,” said student Michael Carmichael.
