There are some great ways to build our children’s immune systems for a healthier back to school experience. We know that the kids are going to pick up that horrid cold or flu within the first few months of returning to class. The question is: How do we boost their immune systems?
As parents it’s important to our children’s health and, let’s face it our own, to keep them as fit as possible. People are more aware of the importance of their immune systems than ever before. But most do not know how to nourish their immune systems. Here are some ways to help keep kids in fighting form.
1) FEED YOUR FLORA.
The intestines are one of the main lines of defense in your body, so taking a good probiotic supplement is a great course of action.
You can find probiotics in the refrigerated section of your health food store. Researchers at the National Institutes of Health tell us that probiotic supplementation, especially with lactobacilli and bifidobacteria, can reduce risk and severity of allergic disease, particular atopic dermatitis.
