I know Halloween is over, but the memories do linger on! Halloween is such a wonderful family holiday. My siblings and I still have fun talking about the fun times we had on Halloween as do my kids and I.

One way to keep these memories fresh is to create a family activity scrapbook. The first step to this is to brainstorm as a family about everything you did over Halloween. Then we use that information and write a summary paragraph.

Easy Paragraph Writing Improves Learning Skills Try providing your kids a structured writing activity, with step-by-step instructions. Remember a paragraph has three parts: the beginning (main idea – topic sentence), the middle (details), and the end (conclusion or restate the topic).

I want you to write a paragraph about your Halloween experience (a Halloween party you attended, a Haunted House you visited, or Trick or Treating, etc.).

  • What was the scariest Halloween thing you saw: a costume, a scene in the haunted house etc.
  • What was the craziest thing that happened on Halloween?
  • What was the funniest thing that happened on Halloween?
