Teachers at Graham Middle School are blending Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math to give a deeper learning experience than students had before.  Blended learning does not include math and science into this lesson, but are working with technology to research history. Teacher Elizabeth Stuckey plans to have them teach the history later to their classmates.

“Last year we didn’t have computers,” said 11 year old Jasmine Hodges.

Jasmine sat with two other girls and a boy talking while they used their Chromebook laptops. They were researching women’s roles in the ancient civilization. Anijey Flores-Jasso, 12, was appalled to discover that Mesopotamian men made decisions for the household, including whom the women would marry. “That’s not fair,” she said.
