Help MDA Fight Back Against Muscle Disease; Sign Up For Annual MDA Muscle Walk of the Greater San Francisco Bay Area

WHAT: More than 200 people from the San Francisco Bay Area are registered to take a small step to fund powerful progress for the Muscular Dystrophy Association during the third annual MDA Muscle Walk of the Greater San Francisco Bay Area to raise critical funds and awareness that will help MDA save and improve the lives of local children and adults fighting muscle disease.

To register, visit or call the local MDA office at 415-673-7500.

WHERE: Lake Cunningham Park-Cypress Pavilion 2305 S. White Road, San Jose, CA

WHEN: Sunday, October 25th Registration opens at 9 a.m. Walk Starts at 10:30 a.m.

WHY: Funds raised at the Greater San Francisco Bay Area Muscle Walk allow MDA to invest in research to find treatments and cures. They also help support MDA’s life-enhancing programs such as state-of-the-art support groups and clinics, including the MDA Clinic at UCSF, Forbes Norris, and at Stanford. In addition, they make MDA summer camp possible so kids with muscle disease can enjoy “the best week of the year” at Camp Westminster Woods in Occidental, CA.

MDA Muscle Walk is largest, most inspiring event of its kind, bringing communities together — donors, families, partners, sponsors and volunteers— to fight back against muscle disease. Approximately 150 walks throughout the nation are scheduled throughout the year that will build on decades of research progress, helping push science to its limits in the search for treatments and cures.
