Students will now have additional resources for study as they travel to school, as a proposal adding wi-fi to school buses is generating much excitement.
The buses at Gamewell Middle School will be fitted with technology, cameras, and wi-fi.
“We embrace this project that allows our students to have access to additional resources as they travel to school,” said Superintendent Steve Stone. “The partnership with Google and the support from the Education Foundation brought this concept to a reality, and its benefits are real in every sense.”
The program has been made possible by the Education Foundation Inc of Caldwell County and Google. According to Gamewell Middle School Principal Anna Crooke, “We knew it could be a game changer so we jumped on board.”
Since students do not always have internet access at home, the technological resources give them more study time and help them use their time more efficiently.
