Aunt Pattys Recipes

Welcome to Aunt Patty’s Kitchen!

Aunt Patty is a real person (it’s me!) who loves kids and loves to cook!

I learned everything I know about cooking from my Greek mother-in-law, starting at 19, when I married into a magnificent Greek family.

First, my mother-in-law, Georgia, shared her fabulous Greek recipes with me and we spent hours, side by side in the kitchen. She made sure I learned them all, and I will always remember her kindness and love, and am ever grateful to her.

Next, we cooked all the recipes from Julia Child’s cookbooks (way back in the 70’s before the 2009 movie, Julie and Julia), and then we’d rotate houses in the family for dinner to share everything we learned, while dining on the spectacular meals.

My family says that my dad was known for his gourmet cooking too, and although he died when I was young, I guess the love for cooking is in my genes!

Today, I’m an Auntie to so many kids, it’s hard to keep count! There are kids on my sister’s and brother’s side, and on brother in law’s side too!

I’m also a Yia Yia (Greek for grandmother) to 2 wonderful kids – and I’m hoping that all these recipes I’ve used over the years, will be passed on to the next generation.

I devoted my entire life to kids – teaching them how to learn for a lifetime, and to know they are perfect, just the way they are!

Today, I want to share these wonderful family recipes and hope you’ll enjoy brining them to your family as well!
