Adventure Academy Wins Parent and Teacher Choice Award from HowtoLearn.com
Gold Medal Winner
Adventure Academy is a massively multiplayer online (MMO) game for kids ages 8-13, and it takes off where Age of Learning’s flagship product, ABCmouse left off.
Our team loves that it focuses on learning with academic subjects such as language arts, math, science and social studies.
In this unique, subscription based app, kids get to “play” (actually learn) to their heart’s content while hanging around in a virtual school like environment (this Hogwarts without the craft).
Each of the subjects that are included are essential to school success, making it very practical indeed!
Parents get to set the learning content difficulty and set the chat level – one type is free with filters and monitoring, quick chat with pre-done messages, and they also have the ability to disable the chat function altogether.
Inside, there are numeros sections that each contains a plethora of activities that include reading, writing, math, science, health and social studies. Of course kids earn points which they can later use to buy things for their avatar, the avatar’s house or other types of enhancements.
The great part about this app is that it is connected to the server so that new learner experiences can be added at any time – keeping it continuously updated.
Kids play the games by themselves but the interaction is with players throughout the world.
Adventure Academy is unanimously chosen as the winner of the Parent and Teacher Choice Award from HowtoLearn.com
Check out the app via their site or in the Play or Itunes store.
